The first beast is Solomon, famed for his wisdom. His name is the 666th in the Bible. This is in agreement with the first of the four beasts in Daniel chapter 7. Daniel saw a lion with wings stripped off it and given a human mind. In the animal kingdom, the lion is the king of the beasts. Solomon was a king, and he is therefore the king of the four beasts. The significance of Solomon as the 666th name is discussed in this article – he represents common sense and wisdom that are in direct opposition to teachings of Jesus such as, "give up what you have and follow him."

The number of the beast in some texts is 616. The 616th name is Michal. She represents myself, and the name 'Michal' relates to the Archangel Michael. Michal is the daughter of Saul (the real name of Paul), and is married to David, who represents Jesus. This is in support of the arguments presented in "Who is Jesus? Who is Paul?", where it is suggested that Peter assumes the role of Jesus in the future, and I assume the role of Paul. The other beasts for 616 do not appear to have any parable-based significance.

The list below shows the names of people in the Bible from the first to the 666th name, using the rules specified here. The following points were taken into account when compiling this list:

3. The book of Jasher (Josh10:13) is not a name, it means 'upright'.

4. The house of Millo (Jdgs9:6) is a fortification, not a person.

5. Naomi said "call me Mara" in Ruth 1:20 – I have not included this as a name (she was just saying, "call me bitter, because I am bitter").

6. "Sons of Sheth" (Num24:17) means "sons of tumult" and there is no evidence for a proper name here, so it is not included.

7. "King Arad" (Num21:1) is a mistranslation of "king of Arad" and is not included as a name.

8. Duke Aholibamah (Ge36:41) is thought to be a different person to Aholibamah (Ge36:2).

9. Benjamin is described as having both sons and grandsons called Ard, Naaman (Ge46:21 and Num26:40) and Gera (Ge46:21 and 1Chr8:3). They are assumed to refer to the same people and are included only once in the list.

10. There are two king Agags, two Jabins, three Abimelechs and four Pharaohs (in Exodus, Moses waited until one Pharaoh had died before returning to Egypt). There may have been an additional Pharaoh during the exodus, but this is not recorded in the Bible and is not included in the list.

11. Korah (Ge36:5) is the son of Esau, whereas Korah (Ge36:16) is the son of Eliphaz and grandson of Esau. They are listed separately.

12. Sources suggest that Hur (Exo17:10 and Exo31:2) refers to the same man.

13. Sources suggest that Timna (Ge36:12 and Ge36:22) refers to the same woman.

14. Josh15:8 refers to the valley of the son of Hinnom. Hinnom is listed as a named person.

15. Jonathan son of Gershom son of Manasseh (Judges 18:30, KJV) is listed in the RV Bible as being Jonathan son of Gershom son of Moses. This is plausible because Jonathan was a priest (like Moses), and Moses did have a son called Gershom. Therefore, their names are not included in the list twice.

16. The RV Bible has Matrites (a tribe) instead of Matri (a person) in 1 Samuel 10:21. Matri has been included in the list.

17. The RV Bible excludes Shiloh (Ge49:10). This is in the KJV Bible and is included in the list.

18. Alvah (Ge36:40) and Alvan (Ge36:23) could be the same person descended from Esau. There are differing opinions about these names, but Alvah has not been included in the list.

19. In Ge36:2, Anah the daughter of Zibeon is described as being the son of Zibeon in the Revised Version of the Bible. This person is also thought to be the son of Zibeon in Ge36:24.

20. Esau may have had four wives, two of which are nicknamed Bashemath (which means 'fragrant'):
    • Judith, daughter of Beeri the Hittite.
      
    • Adah, 'the Fragrant' (Bashemath), daughter of Elon the Hittite (possibly deceased or divorced).
      
    • Mahalath, 'the Fragrant' (Bashemath), daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebajoth.
      
    • Aholibamah, granddaughter of Zibeon the Hivite.

    Alternatively, there could be an error in the text, with only one wife being named Bashemath. The name Bashemath could be included once or twice depending on the number of women that have been renamed. It has been included once in the list.
