Cool Stuff
Luke 18:17
Remember this! Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.
Matthew 17:20
"It was because you haven't enough faith," answered Jesus. "I assure you that if you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill, 'Go from here to there!' and it will go. You could do anything!"
I'm going to fulfill one aspect of the second commandment of Jesus by suggesting some cool stuff to do in the New Age. I'm going to give some examples here, but don't let it restrain your imagination! These things should all be possible because the whole Universe operates on the principal of loving your neighbour as yourself, and this is the relationship between God and us. This is a list of things that are impossible. However, since our own existence is equally impossible, anything is possible.
- Live forever.
- Heal people.
- Raise people from the dead.
- Run across some water (Jesus did!).
- Fly; we are meant to be angels, and there are lots of references to wings.
- Swim like a fish; since we can be healed of illnesses, then there is no reason why we can't grow gills and be able to see properly in salty water.
- Walk on the moon.
- See the stars.
- Become tiny.
- Visit the neighbours:
John 10:16
There are other sheep which belong to me that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them, too; they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock with one shepherd.
Other species of sentient beings (aliens) might already have been visited by God, or we might have to teach them.
I think the planet we are looking for will resemble Saturn (sounds like 'Satan'), our sixth planet:
- Go backwards in time to see the dinosaurs and the teachings of Jesus; time travel should be possible if everything happens at once, although I doubt that we would be able to interact with the past. Perhaps it would be like watching a recorded video of past times.
- 'Become one' with another person:
Mark 10:6-9
But in the beginning, at the time of creation, 'God made them male and female,' as the scripture says. 'And for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, and the two will become one.' So they are no longer two, but one. No human being then must separate what God has joined together.
I believe that when you get to a point where you genuinely love someone as yourself and want to share your entire being with that person then it is possible to do it – so two separate individuals join to become one. "Leaving our father and mother" probably refers to leaving our Universe to create a new one (see below).
This is the relationship between Jesus and the Father (who also takes on the role of Satan; Paul). John 10:30: "The Father and I are one." I believe that this is also my future role in a new Universe (see below), and that is why I can predict the time of the end (because no one knows except the Father, which is my future role).
Although there is a sense in which Jesus and the Father are the same, there is also a sense in which they are separate. For example, my future role is that of Paul, whereas the future role of Peter is that of Jesus (see "Who is Jesus? Who is Paul?"). Perhaps it is possible to separate back into two people after becoming one.
An implication of the "two becoming one" is that when you sin against someone else, you could in fact be sinning against yourself. I believe that this kind of thinking will play a big role in the future. For example, your parents or children might turn out to be people you sinned against or who sinned against you. This would help with the forgiveness process and teach people about the nature of sin and how it really affects us. This is also the reason why we are resurrected into the opposite gender – to give us an alternative point of view and to make things fair.
- Creating our own Universes: this is discussed in more detail in "Who is Jesus? Who is Paul?" It is possible that everyone who has "become one" could play the roles of Jesus, Paul, Satan and God in their own Universe. Alternatively, the development and maintenance of the technology required to create a Universe could be so resource-intensive that it would require the cooperation of many people. If this is the case, then people would have shared responsibility for the various roles of God and Satan.
John 10:34
Jesus answered, "It is written in your own Law that God said, 'You are gods.'"
This idea is supported by Matthew 19:25-26:
When the disciples heard this, they were completely amazed. "Who, then, can be saved?" they asked.
Jesus looked straight at them and answered, "This is impossible for human beings, but for God everything is possible."
In other words, followers of Jesus should expect to take on the role of Jesus. This statement also has implications for the first follower; it is only possible to save yourself if you also make it possible for everyone to be saved (love your neighbour as yourself). Making it possible for everyone to be saved is the role of God, which is why this website has developed in the way that it has.
When we create Universes like our one, we will apply the commandment "love your neighbour as yourself" to the things that the people in our Universes can do. Anything that we would make possible in Universes for other people should be possible for us to do in this Universe, hence the long list of cool stuff.
